About the Film
Set in rural Tennessee, Angels Twice Descending is a character-driven psychological thriller about Kathy, a pregnant pastor’s wife whose faith and marriage are tested when her husband detains Maria, a law student on her way to a legal abortion, convinced that God has sent Maria to him. As his religious conviction becomes Maria’s captivity, Kathy must decide whether obedience to her husband would mean betraying her own conscience.
The film begins with people, not positions. It takes faith seriously while asking what happens when one person’s moral certainty claims authority over another person’s freedom. Kathy’s journey is not away from faith, but toward a deeper understanding of what faith requires.
